Something happens when you pair live music with a summer sunset over the trees. Take it in with your family and friends all summer in Peculiar. Bring a picnic and a lawn chair. Come early and relax for a while.

We’re bringing the music back to the country, and back to the people, at the drop of a tailgate.

Free admission, but this is at our expense, so we recommend a donation of $10 per person, or $20 per family. Cash or Venmo (@tailgategigs)

UPDATE: The “Just Worship” gathering will be moved inside the Barn at Riverbend and under the open aired veranda. There are heaters in the ceiling but it may still be a little chilly so dress warm. Hot coffee and apple cider will be served! Parking near the barn and in the front field will open at 3:30pm this Saturday!!!

Nick and Julie Nave from cityofFOUNTAINS have been leading inspired worship all over Kansas City for years, have recently been writing and recording in Nashville, and they can’t wait to offer their latest music to you, right in the middle of the country.

Quick backstory… As the owner of Tailgate Gigs, I love experimenting with creative applications for my mobile truck stage. As owners of the wedding venue The Barn at Riverbend, Kip and Kris love the idea of offering their space as a gift to their friends, neighbors, and community. So when Kris said to me out of the blue, “You seem like an event guy…” not knowing anything about Tailgate Gigs, or that I’d already been wondering if they would be interested in collaborating on something like this, I figured God might be up to something.

So we picked the date of 10/24, or more appropriately, the date picked us… It was the only Saturday available, because of a last minute wedding cancellation at the Barn (which never happens). Then I asked Nick if he was interested in performing that night (knowing full well he’s always booked with gigs on Saturday nights). He immediately texted back, “I literally have had that date on my mind and heart and cancelled another gig in anticipation… Freaky.“

So I can’t help but think this concert is supposed to happen, and we’re just along for the ride.

I hope you will be there to experience it with us! There’s no registration, no agenda, and no strings attached…

Don’t miss Chad Rader perform live on the Tailgate Gigs mobile stage at TNT Farms!

We’ll build a fire and put on the show in the pasture. You can sit in the back of your truck (drive-in movie style), or just bring your own chairs. The pasture gate opens at 6:00pm, show starts at 7:00pm. Then feel free to linger around the fire after the performance.

Chad is a talented musician and a long time family friend…best known by his incredible vocals and authentic presence. He has been the front man for the local band Vincent Vega, performed multiple solo gigs, and led worship at various churches. Chad will be performing a mix of rock, pop, country, and worship.

The event is free to attend, but donations are encouraged to support both Chad Rader’s music and future Tailgate Gigs events. We’ll pass a tip jar, so please have some cash on hand…Thank you for your support!

Kids of all ages are welcome, as we have plenty of room for them to run and play throughout our 5 acres. We just ask that you help others enjoy the show by coaching your kids to keep the noisy play away from the stage area.

A bathroom will be available in our house, just ask us to show you where.

Bring your own beverages and snacks. Alcohol is allowed…please drink responsibly of course.
